COVID-19 INFORMATION
The City of Chester is committed to fully serving residents during the current COVID-19 public health emergency.
Effective immediately, the Chester Parking Authority is suspending parking meter enforcement and time-limited enforcement for the duration of the health emergency. This is being done to limit interactions between employees and the public to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission and to do our part to “flatten the curve.”
The Chester Parking Authority will continue to enforce safety violations, focusing on events that could impact emergency vehicles, impede traffic or cause other unsafe conditions. These violations include, but are not limited to: the blocking of fire hydrants, double parking, loading zone violations and the block of entranceways and crosswalks.
The Chester Parking Authority administrative offices, located in City Hall, are closed to the public, in accordance with the directives of Mayor Kirkland and Governor Wolf. Regular monthly meetings are also canceled until further notice and will be rescheduled when this crisis has passed.
We hope you and your family stay home and stay safe during this difficult time.
Thomas White
Chairman
Chester Parking Authority
